These classes will be taught on-line by one of our teachers through pre-recorded videos. This gives you the flexibility of doing the activities on your schedule. The students will learn about the Engineering Design Process and how engineers use it to solve problems and create new things. Students will use this process, just as engineers do, to design, build and test their own inventions. The available lessons include: catapults, parachutes, eggstreme defense and a marble run.
This class will require the use of the Vimeo in order to watch the videos. It is a free application which can be downloaded onto your computer. Upon registration for the classes, we will send an email with links to the videos and a password which will allow students to watch the video. The video will lead them through the activity. However, if there are any questions, we will be happy to provide support.
Materials for the classes will be provided and available for pick up (contactless). (Materials can be mailed to you for an additional fee.) You will also need to have tape, scissors, etc on hand for the projects.
