These classes will be taught on-line by one of our teachers. The students will learn about the Engineering Design Process and how engineers use it to solve problems and create new things (like toys)! They will learn about circuits and will then have the chance to build and test their own flashlight and walking robot. Flashlights will be built on Tuesday and the Robot will be built on Thursday. The teacher will lead them through the process of building their toy. (Since this is virtual, if your child has trouble you may need to be ready to help. We will do our best to help them through the process so that this does not happen.)
This class will require the use of the Zoom application on your computer. It is a free application which can be downloaded onto your computer. Upon registration for the classes, we will send an email with a meeting code which will allow only our students and the teacher to join the class in order to keep our students safe. No recording of these classes is allowed as a safety precaution.
Materials for both classes will be provided and available for pick up (contactless) June 6 or 7th in Olathe, KS.
